We will show you a simple method to achieve this. Yup, it is a very simple and easy method that require no extra software. All the versions of windows from Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10 include this option of hiding your personal data from the beginning.

By Using this trick to hide your folders and files in PC or Computer or Windows, you will be able to protect your data just by pressing a few clicks and it'll let you hide everything in such a way that only you will be able to make your data visible again.

All You have to do in order to hide your folders or files:

Select and Right Click on the folder or file which you want to hide.
Click "Properties" from the menu.
Now, in the "General" tab under "Attributes" section, look for the check box with "Hidden" label on it.
Click this check box and click "Apply" then "Save".
Your file or folder should be invisible now and if it is not, then just refresh once.

How to unhide file or folder / How to make data visible again?

Just go to the Control Panel > Folder Options.
Under "View" tab, click the "Show Hidden files" option then Save.
Now your hidden file or folder should be visible but still transparent.
So to make it normal like before, Right click on it and click "Properties"
then uncheck the "Hidden" option and click "Save".
